We work with our partners and suppliers to continually reduce emissions and food waste across our supply chain. These organisations are putting people and planet first, with our food suppliers in particular championing local, seasonal produce. With their help we can forge a clear path for the creation of eco-friendly offerings across this entire sector.

 
  • Highland Game

    The UK’s leading venison brand, Highland Game works closely with its supply partners, including forestry land and Scottish estate owners, gamekeepers and recreational stalkers, to offer consistently superior quality venison products. Highland Game is fully committed to full hill-to-plate traceability.

  • Root Zero

    Their sustainable potato farming practices create healthy soils, increase local biodiversity and remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. They aim to reduce the carbon footprint of their potatoes - which come in 100% plastic free, compostable packaging - by 51% by 2030.

  • Rubies in the Rubble

    Our award-winning condiments are made using ingredients which would otherwise be wasted – not because they taste any different, but because of their shape, size or colour. To date, we’ve saved 529 tonnes of produce from going to waste, enough to pack 9 double-decker buses, and prevent 438 tonnes of CO2e from polluting our atmosphere.

  • Toast Ale

    Toast Ale’s planet-saving beer is brewed with surplus fresh bread. They’ve rescued over 2.5 million slices, avoiding 48tCO2 of emissions. Their savings go to charities fixing the food system, donating £85,000 so far. Committed to Net Zero by 2030, they achieved carbon neutrality by investing in regenerative agriculture. A proud B Corp and Social Enterprise, they believe business is pivotal in tackling the climate crisis.

  • Loch Duart

    Loch Duart Salmon worked with the RSPCA developing a welfare standard for salmon farming, resulting in them receiving the world’s first RSPCA’s Freedom Food certification. They’re since certified to the Rouge Label, Friends of the Sea and Global Gap schemes.

    Tangent is a creative agency that specialises in building sustainable brands. Our strategic work helps our clients tell their story: defining who they are, what they do and why it matters. We then create identity systems that capture attention and clearly communicate their values across every channel. We work with like-minded clients with the scale and reach to influence real change.

    GHF are proud to represent drinks brands who always have an eye on their environmental impact. The portfolio includes Sapling Climate Positive Spirits (B Corp), Two Drifters Carbon Negative Rum (B Corp), Punchy, Adult Soft Drink (B Corp), Mirabeau Rosé and Gin, Coates & Seely, Menabrea Larger, The Pickle House Spiced Tomato Juice and Wignac’s Organic French Cider.

  • Klimato

    Climate action starts in the kitchen! With Klimato's web tool, it's easy peasy to calculate the climate impact of the food you serve based on ingredients, production method and country of origin. We use certified climate data to display the carbon footprint of each dish, and the easy-to-use calculator helps chefs to make climate-friendly changes to the menu.

  • Wearer Tech

    Wearer Tech makes vegan friendly shoes that increase the well-being of people on their feet all day at work, by reducing and preventing pain. Our Sustainability Loop is a scheme where we take back ANY used shoes and recycle them into something new. We focus on human sustainability - by caring for people.

  • Just Peel

    Just Peel’s strategy is to offer sustainable solutions for the hospitality industry, through point of sale. We work with our partners to produce plastic-free paper cups and other alternatives that are 100% recyclable, compostable and biodegradable. Our goal is to help lead the switch from plastic reliance.

  • Mara Seaweed

    Mara’s is a sea-to-shelf seaweed production facility, processing seasonal seaweeds with a fully traceable supply chain. Seaweed is a useful salt substitute: it’s a completely sustainable future food that absorbs carbon dioxide and doesn’t need soil, fresh water, fertiliser or farming.

  • Benzies

    The Benzies family has been farming root vegetables for 70 years, combining tradition with new technology and commitment to sustainability. Committed to the environment, their facilities are powered with a wind turbine, fuel efficient engines and use only recycled water.

  • mackintosh of Glendaveny

    Located in Aberdeenshire, all farm products used are 100% recyclable, from glass bottles to cardboard outers. Their virgin cold pressed rapeseed oil is healthier than olive oil, with 10 times more Omega 3 and less than half the saturated fat.

    Fordhall Farm Event Catering is a mobile event catering company, working with national shows, events and stadiums. We produce quality, sustainable food, buying only British in support of the British Agriculture Industry. Our meat is sourced from our farm or local suppliers, and it's prepared onsite by our skilled butchers.

 

Our commitments

We hold ourselves to the highest standards of responsibility and sustainability, and our business practices and decisions always reflect this. We’re always looking to improve, and continually reassess our strategies to ensure we’re at the cutting edge of sustainable business practices and employee welfare.

  • Air-freight Ban

    We have made a commitment to put in an air freight ban in place on all fruit and vegetables that come outside of the UK from 2022. If it comes on a plane, we won’t use it.

  • Remove Single use plastics

    Through our reduce, re-use and review policy, we are targeting removal of all single use plastics from venues.

  • Free-Range

    Free-range eggs are now standard across our business.

  • Klimato

    We will be informing Levy’s customers and consumers to make more sustainable choices using Klimato, our Carbon Labelling tool.

  • UK sourced meat

    We will source all red meat (beef, pork and lamb) from the UK by the end of 2022.

  • Relevant Accreditation

    We will work towards all relevant accreditation like Red Tractor and Food for Brain.

  • Non-Dairy Alternatives

    We are transitioning to non-dairy alternatives.

  • Launching Biohub

    We are launching BioHub - Compass UK&I’s Sustainable & Regenerative Agriculture incubator.

  • Strategic Partnerships

    We are implementing a strategic partnership with Levy’s beverage suppliers to decarbonise at pace and scale, through implementation of initiatives across all key ingredients including grains, hops, sugarcane/ sugarbeet, and grapes.

  • Sustainable Sources

    We are transitioning all poultry, fish and seafood procurement for Levy to the most sustainable sources.

  • Reusable Consumables

    Reusable consumables in place at all our Levy venues and events.
